Nicole A. Millich, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience and over seven years as a full-time psychiatric provider. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care tailored to each patient’s unique needs, helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve improved emotional wellness through personalized psychiatric treatment and medication management.
Dr. Millich earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Gulf Coast University before completing a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Florida. She later returned to Florida Gulf Coast University to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. Her advanced education reflects her commitment to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and improving access to high-quality behavioral healthcare.
Throughout her career, Dr. Millich has cared for patients across outpatient psychiatry, primary care, rehabilitation, clinical informatics, and higher education. She has provided psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment for children, adolescents, college students, and adults in private practice, university health services, and telepsychiatry settings. In addition to caring for patients, she has supervised advanced practice providers, served as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and other psychiatric conditions affecting individuals across the lifespan.
As part of her doctoral work, Dr. Millich designed and implemented an innovative psychiatric medication access program that improved medication adherence and reduced barriers to care for college students. The project earned both the Doctor of Nursing Practice Impact Award and the Dean’s Marieb Research Day Poster Award, recognizing its meaningful contribution to community mental health. She believes exceptional psychiatric care begins with listening, building trust, and partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals, values, and life experiences. Through compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and close collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals, Dr. Millich remains committed to helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness and an improved quality of life.
