Linda H. Skalsky, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and doctorally prepared leader with over 30 years of experience spanning behavioral healthcare, psychiatric nursing, addiction medicine, and clinical education. Her unique blend of executive vision, clinical depth, and academic commitment has established her as a respected voice across the behavioral health landscape.
Her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Florida, built upon graduate and undergraduate degrees from Florida International University, laid the groundwork for a career that has touched virtually every corner of the field, from outpatient psychiatry and community mental health to correctional facilities and crisis stabilization.
As Chief Nursing Officer at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Dr. Skalsky directs nursing operations, champions quality improvement, and ensures organizational readiness across regulatory and accreditation standards. She simultaneously maintains an active clinical presence, delivering psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacologic care, and medication-assisted treatment, including buprenorphine therapy for those managing opioid use disorder.
As Adjunct Faculty at Florida State University’s College of Nursing, she guides future Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners with the same empathy and rigor she brings to patient care. She also holds notable professional distinctions, including Past President of the ISPN Foundation Board and peer reviewer for Perspectives in Psychiatric Care.
