Ester Buchnik, RMFTI, is a dedicated Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who believes that meaningful healing happens within safe, trusting relationships. She brings a compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized approach to her work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families navigating emotional and relational challenges.
She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy from North Central University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Hunter College, CUNY. Ester’s clinical experience spans a range of settings, including community mental health services, substance use recovery programs, and private telehealth practice. This diverse background allows her to effectively support clients with complex and multifaceted concerns.
Throughout her work, Ester has helped individuals facing trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, sexual health concerns, and profound grief, including pregnancy and infant loss. She also has experience guiding adolescents and families through the lasting effects of parental separation and domestic violence.
Ester’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by genuine curiosity about each client’s unique story. She tailors her therapeutic methods to meet clients where they are, creating a collaborative and supportive environment. Fluent in both English and Russian, she provides culturally responsive care to a diverse range of clients. Whether developing individualized treatment plans, working alongside other professionals, or providing consistent emotional support, Ester is committed to helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered on their journey.
