Elizabeth C. Albarez, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor with more than a decade of experience helping adolescents and adults overcome trauma, substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and life transitions. She is passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to heal, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. Elizabeth believes that successful therapy balances acceptance with growth, helping individuals develop practical skills as they work toward the life they envision for themselves.
Elizabeth earned her Master of Social Work with an emphasis in Community Mental Health from Northwest Nazarene University after completing her Bachelor of Science from Ball State University. Throughout her career, she has pursued extensive advanced training in trauma-focused and evidence-based therapies, including intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training through Behavioral Tech, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and ASAM Level of Care assessment through Hazelden Betty Ford.
Elizabeth’s clinical experience spans behavioral health leadership, addiction treatment, outpatient psychotherapy, community mental health, and higher education. She has conducted comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, provided individual and group therapy, developed ASAM level-of-care recommendations, and delivered evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Her background includes working with veterans, justice-involved individuals, and adults with complex trauma while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care. As Assessment Director for a multi-site behavioral health organization, she oversaw assessment quality, trained clinicians and interns, and supported clinical excellence across multiple treatment locations. She has also served as a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Clinical Social Work Interns and as Adjunct Faculty, mentoring future social workers and counseling professionals.
Elizabeth approaches therapy as a collaborative partnership built on trust, respect, and practical solutions. She enjoys helping clients develop effective coping skills, overcome the effects of trauma and addiction, and create meaningful progress toward their personal goals. Through compassionate, evidence-based care and individualized treatment planning, Elizabeth remains committed to helping every client move toward greater emotional wellness, healthier relationships, and a more fulfilling life.
