Ann S. Wilbee, LCSW, provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and seniors in Port Saint Lucie and Melbourne, guiding clients through healing with a trauma-informed approach. Drawing on extensive training in CBT, DBT, and ACT, she helps patients recognize and change harmful thought patterns, build awareness of difficult emotions, and take actions that align with their personal values. Ann is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients can work through anxiety, depression, and life’s most difficult transitions.
Ann earned her Master of Social Work from Aurora University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Sociology from Saint Mary’s College. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and Illinois and has completed clinical training in biopsychosocial assessment, DSM-5 diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and suicide risk assessment. Ann is also a trained bereavement counselor with specialized skills in supporting individuals through grief and loss.
Ann most recently served as a Primary Therapist with LifeStance Health, where she conducted biopsychosocial assessments and delivered evidence-based psychotherapy for a caseload of adult patients managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Her background also includes work as an SUD Primary Therapist with Recovery Centers of America, supporting individuals through substance use recovery, and as a Group Therapist with Compass Health Center, where she facilitated psychoeducation groups in PHP and IOP settings for patients with mood and anxiety disorders. Earlier in her career, she gained clinical experience at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and Serenity House Counseling Services, conducting intakes, assessments, and individual and group therapy across outpatient and residential levels of care.
Before pursuing clinical social work, Ann spent nearly two decades as a communications strategist, including as Communications Director for McDonald’s Corporation and as owner of her own consultancy, Turning Point Communications. That background in leadership messaging, executive coaching, and crisis management gave her a steady, clear-headed approach that now shapes how she supports clients through their own high-stakes moments. She has also volunteered as a contract therapist with Fox Valley Hands of Hope, supporting individuals coping with grief and life-threatening illness.
Ann believes healing happens best in a supportive, judgment-free environment tailored to each client’s unique needs. She works with individuals and families to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lasting recovery and growth. Outside the office, Ann enjoys spending time with her dogs, playing tennis, learning pickleball, watching football and baseball with her son, and traveling and cooking with friends and family.
