Patricia Wolfenden is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has earned her bachelor’s degrees in English and Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a master’s degree in Counseling as well as an MBA degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
She is also a qualified supervisor in the state of Florida. She is a seasoned professional therapist, who has worked in outpatient and residential settings, including acute care hospitals. Her specialties include alcohol abuse and process addictions; anger management; couples and family issues; family estrangement; grief and loss; trauma and complex trauma; anxiety; and depression.
Patricia’s top priority is matching methods in which she is knowledgeable, to each unique individual, couple, or family. She thrives on listening first, and then addressing each person in real terms and language, instead of jargon. Methods include Person-Centered therapies, Motivational Interviewing, Experiential Family Therapy and Psychodrama, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Nature Therapy. Compassion and empathy are utmost for her, and she has worked with people from many walks of life and circumstances.
