Julie Davisson is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and has been practicing since 2020. She started in nursing after receiving her BSN from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.  She went back for her Master of Science in nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, VA in 2013. After working several years as a primary care family NP, she became more interested in helping patients suffering from depression, anxiety and other psychiatric illnesses and earned a post-graduate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. in 2020.

Julie maintains dual certification as both a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds.  She utilizes a wholistic approach considering their medical history when prescribing psychiatric medications, and their overall health and safety is her number one priority. Julie meets you where you are, no matter what the circumstances. She will not dictate treatment, but instead prefers to educate and collaborate with you on your team in your journey towards healing and the best possible mental health.
