Frank Weitekamp is currently a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern working towards state licensure. Frank is a two-time graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, holding bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and in Foreign Languages and Literature, as well as a master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida.
Frank believes in assessment and treatment through a holistic methodology. He has been trained in Cognitive Therapy through the Mental Health Association of Central Florida working with individuals experiencing mental health issues who have co-morbid medical diagnosis. Frank believes in a strengths-based empowerment model where every individual can achieve whatever goals they set for themselves drawing on the strengths, characteristics, and cultural background unique to each individual. Frank offers support and partnership to clients using evidenced-based Cognitive Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, and Narrative Therapy techniques to aid in these endeavors. He has a passion for partnering with clients to begin and/or continue the healing journey to better emotional, mental, and physical health.
