Deborah Turner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She went back to school in her 50s to pursue mental health counseling after a successful career in laboratory sales and helping others build businesses. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University in 2012 and from Troy University with her master’s in clinical counseling in 2014.

She has 7 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults in mental health counseling. She previously worked for the Children’s Home Society in Florida. She has worked with many adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety. She has experience working with LBGQ and transgender populations. She loves working with different age groups and those with a diversity of disorders. She is certified in Emotive Freedom Technique (EFT) for working with individuals, Prepare and Enrich strategies for couples and families, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy for trauma and PTSD. She shared, “Clients have said they feel very comfortable with me” and trust is built very quickly. She loves being able to help others love themselves.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 47 years, 4 children, and 8 grandchildren.
