Dr. Beverley Calderone, Psy.D., is a Postdoctoral Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of extensive experience as a diagnostician, clinician, researcher, and advocate. She holds advanced post-doctoral training in Innovative Aging and Gerontology, along with specialized certification in Behavioral Health for the Aging population and Neuroscience. Dr. Calderone is an active member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 40 (Society for Clinical Neuropsychology) and Division 20 (Adult Development and Aging).
Dr. Calderone has worked in diverse clinical settings, including the VA Health Care System, public schools, community mental health clinics, and private practice. Her professional background also includes Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault treatment programs, Substance Abuse initiatives, and specialized roles focusing on trauma and grief counseling. She specializes in counseling adolescents (12+), adults, and the aging population, as well as couples and families. Her areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, mood and depressive disorders, grief, end-of-life counseling, phobias, addictions, and family dynamics. She also provides psychological and neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Calderone emphasizes a holistic, solution-focused, and multicultural approach to care. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Techniques (DBT) to provide compassionate, client-centered support tailored to individual needs.
As a registered yoga teacher since 2011 with over 30 years of practice, Dr. Calderone specializes in Yoga Nidra and mindfulness. She integrates these techniques into her therapy sessions to promote mental and physical wellness. Her dedication to healthy living and mental health advocacy underscores her contributions to the community. Dr. Calderone is passionate about yoga and mindfulness practices.
