Allison Pineau is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. Allison graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in art therapy as well as Ringling College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.  She is currently working towards her board certification in art therapy.  She has over ten years of clinical experience in providing high quality services within the mental health field.  She has a passion to work with people of all ages providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.  Allison has worked in a variety of settings such as homes, schools, state hospitals, private practice, outpatient, inpatient, and correctional facilities experiencing a wide range of mental health as well as substance use issues.

Allison is compassionate and committed to make each individual feel heard, comfortable, understood, respected, and supported as she creates a safe environment for her clients without any judgements because we are all human dealing with different battles or challenges within this life.  Allison strives to help her clients by working with them on their treatment goals, adapting or adjusting to their needs.  Allison utilizes the eclectic approach to therapy because every human being is vastly unique but also special in their own ways with different needs or goals and combining a variety of therapeutic techniques can help the person grow to their best ability.  Allison believes that therapy can be for anyone who isn’t just dealing with any mental health and or substance abuse issues but can be for those who want to learn more about themselves, gain insight, build self-esteem, increase empowerment, improve confidence levels, or even their overall quality of life.

While Allison is not working, she enjoys making art, loves road trips to the beach, going to theme parks, running Disney marathons, and reading books as well as inspirational quotes.  In the words of Dr. Seuss, “you have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose,” and she chooses to live a colorful life, hopefully bringing color into yours.  One of her goals in life is to make a difference in the world.
