Sanford Chertock, Ph. D., is a clinical psychologist. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Montana, Missoula, MT. He then joined North Alabama Regional Hospital, Decatur, AL as a Psychology Service Chief and Supervised three psychologists. Developed a psychodiagnostic evaluation program. Provided individual and group therapy. Routinely reviewed hospital treatment programs with area probate judges and mental health centers. He worked as a Clinical Director at North Central Alabama Mental Health Center, Decatur, AL. He developed and recruited clinical staff positions. He clinically and administratively supervised program managers. He provided individual, couple, and family therapy. He then joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as a Post-Doctoral fellow in Pediatric Psychology. He also provided psychodiagnostic evaluations of children and adolescents with medically diagnosed pathologies. He Treated psychogenic seizure and asthma disorders, enuresis, and encopresis, learning and emotional disabilities, and behavioral maladjustment. He was later an Assistant professor in Wilmington, OH where he instructed upper-level undergraduate classes in abnormal psychology. He also got an opportunity to serve the community as a Clinical Director at Clinton County Mental Health Center where he Clinically and administratively supervised therapists and doctoral students.  Conducted therapy with couples, families, and individuals (of all ages). He also provided evaluations for involuntary hospitalizations and disability determination.

Dr. Sanford Chertock carries 41 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge throughout his career. He then served as a Psychologist at American Biodyne, Inc., Indianapolis, IN, where he provided emergency evaluations for hospitalization authorization. Conducted psychotherapy for individuals (all ages) and families. He was also appointed as a Clinical Director in TriHealth Counseling and Psychological Services, Edgewood, KY, where he oversaw clinical activities, client programmatic integrity, and professional milieu. Evaluated and treated adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families. He was also a Medical Expert consultant at Social Security Administration in Cincinnati, OH, where he reviewed claimant evaluations and treatment documentation.  Provided testimony in hearings before administrative law judges.

Dr. Sanford Chertock was also appointed as a Child Clinical Psychologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH, where he provided evaluations and treatment to children, adolescents, and their families. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, and he is also certified by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
