Tianna D. Smith, M.S., RMHCI, is a registered mental health counselor intern committed to providing high-quality psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients across the South Florida region. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Gender Studies, from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2022, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2024, she completed her Master of Science in Professional Counseling Psychology at Florida International University. Throughout her academic training, she was recognized for her academic excellence and actively participated in clinical internships and university programs, working with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide variety of mental health challenges.
Tianna has gained valuable clinical experience through roles at organizations such as the Center for Family and Child Enrichment, Millenium Clinic, and the Center for Children and Families at FIU. She has worked with clients from ages 4 to 50 in both individual and family therapy settings, using evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Her training includes over 600 supervised clinical hours and experience in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use, and executive functioning difficulties. She has also conducted psychosocial assessments, facilitated group therapy sessions, and provided trauma-informed care in outpatient and telehealth settings.
Tianna credits her clinical insight and therapeutic presence to her diverse training background, compassionate nature, and commitment to ongoing professional development. She strives to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported in expressing themselves and achieving personal growth. With a client-centered approach, Tianna is dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, improve their mental health, and lead more fulfilling lives.
