Dr. Shanique Yee, PsyD., is a Postdoctoral Psychologist. She earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale FL, complemented by a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Prior to completing her doctorate, she earned another master’s degree in Developmental Disabilities from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Nemours Children’s Health, Orlando.
Her training spans comprehensive psychological care across the lifespan, with a specialization in pediatric psychology. Dr. Yee has extensive background in providing services in the outpatient and inpatient setting. She is proficient in psychological and psychoeducational assessment, and individual, family, and group therapy. Born and raised in Jamaica to parents of Chinese and Indian descent, and later growing up in South Florida, Dr. Yee brings a unique cultural perspective to her practice, enriching her ability to connect with diverse populations. With a strong focus on improving the lives of children and adolescents with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, Dr. Yee specializes in helping patients and their families navigate the challenges of managing medical conditions. She is deeply committed to addressing health disparities, particularly among racial and ethnic minorities, and advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion through her clinical work and research.
