Muhammad Aun Mirza, RMHCI, is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern committed to providing evidence-based, client-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use concerns, social anxiety, and depression. He strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their concerns and work toward meaningful personal growth.
Mr. Mirza earned his Associate degree in Natural Sciences from Quincy College in Quincy, Massachusetts, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He completed his Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. His academic training has provided a strong foundation in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and the application of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida, Mr. Mirza integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy into his clinical practice. He works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and address barriers to emotional well-being, while remaining culturally sensitive and responsive to each client’s unique background and experiences.
Mr. Mirza currently practices at Recovery Village Palm Beach in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, where he facilitates therapeutic groups, conducts individual and family therapy, and completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments. He works closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams to support recovery and treatment planning. Fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi, he is actively working toward full licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and is committed to supporting clients on their journey toward long-term wellness and recovery.
