Lisa Guertin, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a nationally board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of psychiatric experience. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, culturally competent care to individuals across the lifespan. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Science in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty from Florida International University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
Lisa brings a strong combined medical and psychiatric background to her practice, allowing her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment. Her clinical expertise includes psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and medication management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has also completed specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Addiction Medicine.
Throughout her career, Lisa has served in leadership and clinical roles across hospitals, correctional institutions, outpatient practices, and academic settings. She is experienced in telepsychiatry, forensic psychiatric evaluation, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support complex patient needs and improve treatment outcomes.
Lisa treats a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders. She is committed to providing patient-centered care to adolescents, adults, geriatric patients, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, helping each individual achieve improved mental health and overall well-being.
