Leigh C. Jones, MS, is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in the state of Florida. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Counseling Psychology from Capella University, graduating with Distinction, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Eckerd College. During her training, she completed her internship at The Turning Point of Tampa Bay, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility specializing in dual-diagnosis clients.
Leigh has extensive experience providing counseling and support to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including addiction, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and general life concerns. Her professional background includes working as a mental health therapist across several counseling centers and recovery facilities, where she has provided individual therapy, group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, and comprehensive assessments. In addition, she previously served for more than a decade in child protection and family services, where she investigated child abuse cases and counseled families toward reunification.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in a Person-Centered philosophy, combining empathy, compassion, and cultural awareness with evidence-based modalities. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness practices to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Leigh places a strong emphasis on building meaningful, supportive therapeutic relationships that foster growth, resilience, and positive outcomes.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Leigh is dedicated to creating safe and welcoming environments where clients feel heard and supported without judgment. She is passionate about guiding individuals through healing, helping them develop healthy coping strategies, and empowering them to achieve their personal goals.
