Jeanne Van Eepoel, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Chemistry in 1994 from Wesleyan College in Macon, GA then worked as a chemist for 6 yrs testing pharmaceutical raw materials. In 2008 she went back to college and obtained her Bachelor’s in nursing in an accelerated program and continued her education at the University of South Florida to obtain her Master’s in Nursing in 2010 for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Jeanne has over 12 years if clinical experience working in several diverse settings including inpatient rehab, alcohol and substance abuse treatment both inpatient and outpatient, detox center, chronic mental health conditions in the outpatient setting. She is experienced in working with clients of varying ages from adolescents to geriatrics.
Jeanne takes a holistic approach to her client’s care. She considers a client’s biopsychosocial needs and will work with the client to achieve their goal of improving their quality of life through medication, whether it be psychotropics or herbal remedies. She will also work with the client through psychoeducation on brain chemistry, thought processes, and how medication and/or therapy can help them improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment. She believes that positive change is possible for the client if both the practitioner and client work together to help the client achieve their goals.
