Isabel Toscano, RMFTI, is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, graduating Cum Laude from Lynn University, and her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Her training included concentrations in Medical Family Therapy and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, giving her a distinctive ability to address emotional, relational, and physical aspects of well-being.
During her clinical training, Isabel provided therapy at the Brief Therapy Institute and Broward Health Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Unit, where she worked with diverse populations facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relational difficulties. She gained experience facilitating individual, couple, and family sessions, conducting crisis interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote stabilization and recovery. Her approach integrates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method, Bowen Family Systems Theory, and Art Therapy, allowing her to tailor each session to the client’s unique goals and strengths.
Isabel’s professional philosophy is rooted in collaboration, empowerment, and the belief that individuals already possess the capacity for change. She provides a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore challenges, discover strengths, and develop strategies to create lasting positive transformation. She is passionate about supporting couples through relational transitions, veterans and their families, and individuals navigating grief, trauma, or major life changes.
Outside of her clinical work, Isabel brings her lifelong love of horses into her professional and personal life. Since 2018, she has been a professional horse trainer and riding instructor, and in 2024 she opened her own training facility. She credits her experience in equestrian sports for shaping her values of patience, discipline, and balance—qualities that also guide her therapeutic practice. In her free time, Isabel enjoys spending time at home with her fiancé and their two Australian Cattle Dogs, Millie Mae and Maverick Michael.
