Emily Coppola, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families across diverse backgrounds. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Cultural and Religious Anthropology from the University of Central Florida, and her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College.
Emily began her clinical career at Aspire Health Partners, where she completed her practicum and internship in the FOCUS Program and later served as a Senior Adult Counselor supporting clients with complex needs. After obtaining her counseling license, she advanced into clinical leadership roles, first as Program Director of the Family Intensive Treatment Team (FIT) serving four counties, and later as Clinical Director overseeing multiple statewide and grant-funded behavioral health programs focused on family support, opioid recovery, and integrated care.
Her leadership experience includes managing multidisciplinary teams across six programs, chairing local behavioral health committees, and coordinating crisis response initiatives such as Orange County’s FEMA Crisis Counseling program. Most recently, Emily served as the Director of Clinical Services at The Refuge, A Healing Place, a 103-bed residential trauma treatment center in Ocklawaha, Florida.
Emily utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She specializes in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, grief, and autism spectrum disorders.
Dedicated to mentorship and public education, Emily is passionate about training new therapists and speaking in the community to help reduce mental health stigma and promote recovery and resilience.
