Damaris Vandy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and highly experienced clinician specializing in mental health and addiction treatment. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University and her Master’s Degree from Florida International University. She completed her clinical internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, where she primarily worked in the Geriatric Outpatient Clinic and Emergency Department.
With decades of experience in psychiatric care, Damaris has worked in various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient behavioral health units, and crisis stabilization programs. She has extensive expertise in treating individuals with substance use disorders, dual diagnoses, and complex psycho-social challenges. As a Board-Certified Addictions Professional and Certified Hypnotherapist, she integrates evidence-based treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into her practice.
Damaris believes that human behavior is deeply rooted in habits and subscribes to the philosophy that habits can be modified and even transformed with consistent effort and practice.
