Cristina Dureza, APRN, PMHNP-BC earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Iloilo Doctor’s College, Philippines, and graduated from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in psychiatry. She has clinical training and experience in the holistic care of patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan at the Senior Behavioral Unit, University of Florida Health- Leesburg Hospital; LifeStream Behavioral Centers; and private psychiatric clinics.
She has worked for more than 25 years as a registered nurse in various clinical areas including Psychiatric, Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Dialysis, Neurology, Critical Care, and OR. She is experienced in inpatient acute, and crisis care of psychiatric patients with alcohol and substance abuse, and treatment-resistant conditions. Her practice philosophy is established around individual client therapeutic connection, personalized treatment modality, and dynamic interdisciplinary health care team support to provide a sustainable and effective patient outcome.
