Collin Colwell, RCSWI, is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the state of Florida dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s emotional challenges with clarity and confidence. He earned both his Bachelor of Social Work (2023) and Master of Social Work (2024) from Florida State University. Collin is an existentially oriented and relationally focused clinician who is passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan in making meaningful, values-driven changes.
Collin has experience providing care in inpatient, outpatient, in-person, and virtual settings. His clinical work includes conducting biopsychosocial evaluations, facilitating individual and group psychotherapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support adolescents and adults experiencing mental health and psychosocial concerns. He currently serves in behavioral health roles where he provides assessment, treatment planning, and process-oriented group therapy.
His therapeutic approach is grounded in interpersonal and humanistic traditions, drawing inspiration from the work of Yalom and Rogers. Collin integrates attachment-based and trauma-informed care while utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Collin is particularly focused on helping individuals work through emotional ambivalence during times of change, supporting clients in becoming more centered, self-aware, and confident in their decisions.
