Celia Rivera, PsyD, is a Clinical Psychologist committed to providing culturally responsive, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University, an APA-accredited program, and also holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Rivera brings more than ten years of experience in the mental health field and is bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve clients across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Dr. Rivera has extensive training in psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment, including evaluations for autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, personality disorders, and cognitive functioning. She is trained in the ADOS-2 and has completed comprehensive assessments and clinical work in various settings, including outpatient clinics, vocational rehabilitation programs, correctional institutions, hospitals, and community-based mental health organizations. Her background also includes psychodiagnostic evaluations, disability determinations, and vocational assessments, which support accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment planning.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Rivera provides individual therapy using evidence-based approaches tailored to the needs of each client. She works extensively with anxiety, depression, life transitions, women’s mental health, neurodivergent populations, and individuals navigating complex emotional and relational challenges. Dr. Rivera integrates cultural humility, compassion, and empowerment into her therapeutic approach, helping clients gain insight into their experiences while building the skills needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.
