Binh Duong, RCSWI, is a dedicated Psychotherapist and Registered Clinical Social Work Intern passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in achieving emotional wellness and personal growth. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida, where she also received national recognition as a Gilman Scholar, an award honoring outstanding academic performance and cultural engagement. Her academic foundation and clinical training have instilled in her a deep commitment to evidence-based and culturally responsive mental health care.
Binh has nearly five years of clinical experience in behavioral health, working across outpatient, addiction treatment, and acute care settings. She has served as a Psychotherapist at Mara’s Lighthouse Counseling Center, providing psychotherapy and treatment planning for clients navigating a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges. Her prior clinical work at Guardian Recovery Tampa Addiction Center and BayCare Community Recovery Center strengthened her skills in conducting biopsychosocial assessments, leading therapeutic groups, and developing interventions that empower clients in their recovery journeys.
Her approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic frameworks. Binh emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and empowerment in every session, fostering a safe environment for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions while building the tools to create lasting change.
Outside of her clinical work, Binh is fluent in both English and Vietnamese and is passionate about advocating for cultural competence and accessibility in mental health care. She strives to bridge the gap between research and practice, using her background in psychology and social work to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for individuals, couples, and families seeking support.
