Alfred J. Gerogiannis, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. He has a master’s degree in professional counseling and completed his internship in a variety of settings; including inpatient psychiatric facilities, drug and alcohol rehab facilities, youth and family services, senior services, and the Department of Corrections. This training has provided a foundation of knowledge that supports his commitment to providing the highest standards of care to a wide variety of clients with diverse needs.
Alfred is passionate about meeting people where they are with understanding and empathy. He has experience working with individuals from all walks of life and stresses the importance of psychoeducation to help empower individuals to achieve their goals. He utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques depending on the needs of the client, such as behavior therapy, stress and crisis management, solution-focused problem-solving, guided imagery, and clarification of goals.
Alfred credits his open and engaging therapeutic style to his diverse educational training background as well as his own interpersonal experiences. He engages in continuous education courses and strives to remain open to learning new skills and interventions to help aid his clients. His focus is to always create a safe and welcoming environment for individuals while providing the highest level of care possible.
