Elizabeth Langan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor who received her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College. She completed her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. As a Qualified Supervisor, she oversees the clinical practice of Registered Social Work Interns at HUPC.
Elizabeth specialized in women’s health for nearly fifteen years after college. She spent a decade serving low-income, uninsured women through a non-profit healthcare center in Key West, Florida. Since 2014 Elizabeth worked specifically with clients with substance abuse disorders, in both outpatient and inpatient treatment facilities. In addition to women and those struggling with addiction, Elizabeth works with LGBTQ+ clients in her clinical practice. Elizabeth uses evidence-based approaches in treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Additionally, Elizabeth is a strong believer in the mind-body-spirit connection, and personally commits much of her personal time to health and fitness. She is a three-time full IRONMAN finisher, a Certified Triathlon Coach, an IRONMAN All World Athlete and USA Triathlon All-American ranked athlete.
